Dear Students,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the 7th grade and to my classroom.  I am really looking forward to this year, and I hope you are also!  There are a few things that I would like to let you know about before you arrive that may help your first few weeks go a lot smoother and cut down on some confusion.

First of all, I would like everyone to come prepared.  I have made a list of things that you will need for my class:

You will also need to have a compass and protractor at home to complete Geometry homework.  There is no need to bring these items at school - we have plenty here for your use but they may not be taken home.

There are a few other things I would like to ask for, but these items are not required.  These are the things that will help us get through the school year together.  Ask your parents to consider putting this list on the refrigerator and helping us out by sending them if and when they can:
